Saint Vincent Clinic Transferring

After careful consideration and analysis, we have decided to transfer the Saint Vincent Clinic in Leavenworth, Kansas, to Atchison Community Health Clinic, a well-known and respected Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) by June 30, 2024.

This decision is rooted in our commitment to ensuring the sustainability and quality of patient care at Saint Vincent well into the future. The transfer is not just a change but an opportunity for our patients at these locations. It will open doors to a more comprehensive and integrated care network, including a broader range of services immediately and future service expansion. This transition to Atchison Community Health Clinic, a well-established and reputable healthcare provider, ensures that you will continue to receive the same high-quality care you are accustomed to.

Known as the "everybody clinic," Atchison Community Health Clinic believes that quality healthcare is for everyone, regardless of their ability to pay. Atchison is committed to serving the uninsured and those with Medicaid, Medicare, and private insurance. Their comprehensive services include [list of services].

Because of this transfer, Saint Vincent patients do not have to do anything. The clinics will continue to serve their respective communities, and medical records, appointments, and insurance coverage will remain the same. Patients can continue to contact the clinics directly.

On March 4, Mark Holland, Mayor/CEO of the Unifies Government of Wyandotte County/Kansas City, Kansas proclaimed the month of April as “Duchesne Clinic Health and Hope Month” in honor of the 25th Anniversary of the opening of Duchesne Clinic in April 1989. Since 1989, Duchesne clinic has been the site of more than 213,913 patient visits, proving a medical home to thousands of residents who otherwise would have gone without access to medical care. In recognition of the thousands of patients cared for a year-long celebration has been planned. Numerous partners, friends and supporters will be hosting events and supply drives in the clinic’s honor. Their efforts this year will honor the past while looking forward, in the words of Sisters of Charity founder, Mother Xavier Ross “to the good that is yet to be.”
